Description

A comforting sandwich combining creamy goat cheese and sweet honey, offering a delightful twist on the classic croque-monsieur.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or sourdough)
  • 120 g of fresh goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of liquid honey
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh or dried thyme
  • Butter (optional, for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Spread fresh goat cheese over half of the slices of bread.
  2. Drizzle honey over the goat cheese and sprinkle with thyme.
  3. Top with remaining bread, toast on a skillet with butter or in the oven at 200°C for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Cut into quarters and serve warm garnished with fresh thyme.

Notes

Experiment with sliced apples or pears, try different cheeses, or add a pinch of chili flakes for spice.
